Yesterday J.A.F photographer Matt Queree and J.A.F designer Aaron Styles went for a brainstorming mission around Kawau Island in the Hauraki Gulf. The goal was to brainstorm for the upcoming S16/17 campaign and to see if they could get amongst some of the great Winter fishing which the gulf has to offer.
They were not disappointed with Snapper feeding well on the western side of the Island, bait worked well in the morning but lures got the bigger fish in the afternoon. The Snapper ranged from 2 - 5kg and they released over 25 fish and kept 8 for the table.
